Public Health England reported that one in four people in the UK are taking potentially addictive prescription medicines such as Benzodiazepines. This is why it’s so important to look for alternative supplements or medicines to help treat conditions of anxiety. Taking a certain pharmaceutical quality oil could help ease both physical and psychological symptoms within just two weeks. What is it?

Anxiety occurs when the body’s ‘fight or flight’ defence works continuously.
It’s an ‘imbalance’ in the way the body processes environmental and sensory stimuli and leads to a disportionate excitatory response with an excessive release of neurotransmitters between nerve cells in the brain.
This leads to overstimulation of the nervous system and feelings of anxiety.
When a person is in the grips of an anxiety disorder, it’s natural to look for help, treatment or something to help ease the symptoms.
Research suggests that there is a non-addictive alternative to the usual anxiety medications often prescribed by doctors.
Uniquely prepared lavender oil taken orally has been shown to reduce excessive neurotransmitter activity, reducing overstimulation and hyperactivity of the nervous response and improving symptoms of anxiety.
What the experts said
Professor Hans Peter Volz, professor of psychiatry said: “More than 15 clinical trials show that lavender oil is effective at reducing the psychological and physical symptoms of anxiety.
“The effects are comparable to treatment with pharmacological medication including SSRI’s and benzodiazepines but without the common side effects such as section or addition.”

Dr Siegfried Kasper, professor of psychiatry at the Medical University of Vienna added: “This is a very exciting development for anxiety as the research demonstrates that lavender oil capsules not only reduce both physical and psychological symptoms of anxiety but also have a beneficial effect on health-related quality of life.”
Lavender flower and its extracts have been used both internally and by olfaction for centuries as a treatment for depression and anxiety.
Analytical research has identified the main active constituents of the oil have begun to elucidate the mechanisms of action and controlled trials in humans now document lavender’s efficacy.
Lavender contains high concentration of volatile oils which impart its distinctive and pleasing fragrance and has also been proven to help ease the symptoms of anxiety.
